Having seen with compassion, the despicable conditions under which the more than 700 workers have taken ‘refuge’ at the said premises,

Having followed with concern their threat to invite their children to join them in the sit down strike with the attendant consequences that this may have on the peace, serenity and social security in Buea,

(I) APPEAL to the Cameroon Government to embark on a social dialogue and hasten the legal procedures surrounding the grievances of the workers in a bid to restore human face order among the aggrieved and cash-strapped families,

(II) CALL on the Proprietor of the Cameroon Tea Estate to recognize the urgent need of corporate responsibility towards the predicament of the workers,

(III) URGE the Cameroon Tea Estate workers to go to the negotiating table, when invited, with the same degree of patriotism that they have manifested through out their protest,

(IV) THANK all those who have shown concern morally, intellectually and financially towards the plight of the workers,

(V) PLACE the office of our Organisation at the disposal of the various parties as Facilitator of this deadlock that has so far had a huge toll on human lives, social engineering, economic prosperity and the diplomatic image of the Cameroon government.
